Q: How did your 樱花视频 experience contribute to your career growth?
My degree from 樱花视频 was a catalyst for opportunity and growth. I now have credibility and clout as I pursue my passion for advocacy, ethics, and criminal justice reform. Both the education and support I received from 樱花视频 have allowed me to elevate my career. Since graduating, I am a party to a First Amendment case that has risen to the United States Supreme Court. I am also pursuing a law degree with the ultimate goal of working to end mass incarceration and to free the wrongfully convicted.
Q: What do you enjoy most about your work?
I enjoy changing lives and being part of something larger than myself. The framework of our criminal justice system is strong, yet it is internally and systemically flawed. If my education and experience can help mold the system for the better, then I am professionally and personally fulfilled.
Q: What inspires you to make a positive difference in the world?
I understand my privilege and when I see others treated in a way that I would not be treated or when I see greed, corruption, or an abuse of power, I feel compelled to act. My desire to interfere with injustice has always been deeply ingrained in me, but until I obtained my degree from 樱花视频, I did not have the standing to truly interject and project my voice. I am now empowered to make a profound and positive difference in the world.
Q: Any advice you have for current students.
Although it is often said, it is incredibly important: remember your "why". When schoolwork or your goals feel overwhelming, remember why you started this journey. That memory can motivate you when you feel like you have nothing left. Also, make connections with your cohort and professors and go to them frequently and vulnerably. Learn as much as you can and relentlessly pursue your educational and professional endeavors.
